GANGTOK-ZULUK-GNATHANG VALLEY-DARJEELING TRIP MARCH 2018

27 MARCH 2018 - DAY 6 - DARJEELING TO BAGDOGRA AIRPORT (ENROUTE NEPAL BORDER, MIRIK LAKE, TEA GARDENS) DROP

Morning was sunny and hazy. Packed our bags and had nice breakfast. Settled bills and we were set to return back and started at around 8:45 AM .

We deciced to go back from Mirik as we heard views were quite scenic. And indeed it was. Big trees and lots of greenery was there alongside roads.

We reached a place where it was NEPAL as right has side of road and India on other side. Stopped there for some time for a view. Also was clear view of Sandakphu mountains and trek.

Enroute was NEPAL/INDIA  border stone as well.

We reached to PashupatiNagar ( NEPAL BORDER). After showings IDs(for all of us) we entered NEPAL BORDER and roam there for some time. One can go to Market (1-2 kms inside) near by  220 Rs Nepal Taxi or can make a permit of cab 300-350 Rs. Since we had flight to catch we spent some time at border only and moved ahead.

Soon big trees vanished and we were greeted by beautiful Tea Gardens. Yes we stopped at Gopal Dhara Tea Gardens and enjoyed scenic views and tea as well.

By 12:45 PM we reached Mirik Lake. We waited for 10 mins for our turn. It was a peddled boat ( 80 Rs/ per boat for 4 PX for 30 mins). We enjoyed boating in the lake.

It took around 1:30 hrs from Mirik, passing by scenic Tea Gardens and views, we reached plains and reached Bagdogra Airport by 2:30 PM. Our flight was at 5 PM to Delhi.

It was small Airport with huge rush of passengers but we took-off on time and further reached Jaipur (native town) late in the Night. All in All memories will last for life time. We were amazed how on a brink of a disppointing trip, IT BECAME MOST MEMORABLE TRIP FOR ALL OFF US.  GOOD BYE
